Ordinary interface with some features
We've seen our fair share of news apps here and unfortunately the interface of this app fails to stand out. It has the ordinary layout with side menu on the left that includes categories and settings on the top right corner of the screen.
Still, it comes with plenty of onscreen instructions to get you started and it doesn't require online registration, so you can browse and read safely without worrying about signing up with an account.
Browse through various articles
Clearly, developers of this app focused more on delivering top quality content than a multitude of features and tools. That's probably why the app seems so simplistic and clean. Categories can be checked out in the side menu on the left, you can choose from news, sports, life, money, tech and more.
Each of these sections has many subcategories, so you'd be able to filter information better and only receive feeds with topics that interest you the most. Enable breaking news alerts, so the app would inform you whenever there are developments in an important event unfolding anywhere in the world. You can even set a time for when you'd like notifications to be silent.
Read articles and reports on several topics
Simply tap on a title to open the article and swipe left to view the next. You also have the option of setting a default font size or enlarge it only when reading articles. Reports can be shared with friends on social networks. The app comes with a weather section, providing detailed forecasts for upcoming days in the location of your choice.
The snapshot polls section is filled with statistics and charts on various topics and issues. You also have the option to vote on several polls organized by USA Today. The data is collected from accuweather.com. In addition to that, you can save articles for offline reading, but the app doesn't come with a night mode.
