Perhaps the most useful function of SystemPanel is the built-in task manager. This component lists all running apps and processes, and allows you to quickly identify which of them are using the most resources. Tapping on an entry in the list shows a wealth of useful info, including CPU and memory usage, service priority, running time, etc.

Unlike other task managers that mix apps and processes without a clear distinction between them, SystemPanel displays running tasks divided into four categories: active applications, service-only processes, inactive (cached) applications, and internal system processes.

Close running tasks to free up resources

If you need to close running tasks to free up resources, you can do that on an individual app basis or by killing all of them. The latter option makes use of the aforementioned categories, allowing you to terminate all apps below the chosen level. For example, if you choose to close all active apps, background and inactive apps will be killed as well, while selecting the system apps option will terminate all running processes.

To make sure a program isn't closed, you can add it to the list of excluded apps. And, to quickly free up memory when needed, you can kill all tasks right from a home screen widget
