SwipePad 0.9.19
SwipePad is a great app for Android users who like to multitask, as it lets you create a swipe pad filled with all of your applications and organize them based on which they use the most. But the app comes with many add-ons that must be downloaded separately from Google Play Store and they're not all free.
Nice interface that could use a bit more work
We've tested quite a few similar apps and concluded that style is very important when it comes to such customization tools. You can let your creativity free with such applications and create amazing features packed in a nice and stylish layout.
Style is what's missing from this app, the UI is nice but seems a bit bulky and dark. Still, it's one of the most customizable swipe app we've ever seen, but it's also confusing. Instead of a set of instructions, developers should have made a tutorial showing new users exactly how to navigate in the app and make it their own.
Assign shortcuts to your swipe pad
The highly customizable app lets you customize almost all sections of the app. Choose which corner of your screen you'll use for opening the app. Hotspots can be assigned mainly in corners, swipe the screen in order to open the pad.
You can choose which apps you'd like to add to your pad. SwipePad makes good use of animation, mainly during the customization screen. Long press on a portal to open options.
You can add icons of apps, shortcuts to settings or your favorite applications or an icon for quick posts on social networks. There's also the option of adding an icon that opens all apps or the home screen. Widgets, keypads or folders can be added, but only if you download additional add-ons.
Tweak settings to meet your preferences
Some settings can be made to the interface, you can select the default theme or download additional ones from Google Play Store. There's also the option of adjust background transparency or adjust label position.
The app's greatest advantage is that it can be opened even when you're working in another app or playing a game. It gives you instant access to whatever you need on your phone, so you wouldn't have to close the app you were working on. Users can also enable sound on launch or have their phones vibrate when the pad is touched.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is okay, but it could use some more work and a nicer overall design. Still, you can create your own theme if you download a plug-in. |
Function8
It works just fine, but it could use some more space on the pad, as users can only add 12 icons to the pad and there's room for more. |
Security8
It needs access to many areas of your phone, although it shouldn't pose any privacy issues. |
Battery7
Consumption isn't that high, but it's noticeable so keep an eye on battery levels on your phone. |
Price7
It doesn't have ads but comes with many paid add-ons, the most expensive is 2.94$. |
Compatibility8
The app should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A nice app but it's filled with some minor bugs and would need improvement.
