SquareHome.Phone 1.6.2
But most launchers come with unique designs and plenty of themes to choose from, in addition to various features and tools that let you customize your phone and applications installed on it.
Amazing design that resembles that Windows phone style
The launcher comes with some instructions as to help new users get used to the interface. It's a great launcher for those who have been using Windows phone and are trying to make the transition to Android.
SquareHome's style resembles that of Windows phone with desktop tiles that act like shortcuts to system settings or various apps on your phone. The launcher lets you rearrange tiles by simply long pressing on them.
Thus, you can rearrange the home screen and make it your on. Still, the app would need a tutorial to show new users how to add or remove tiles from the screen.
Customize the app to your liking
The launcher only has one screen, so you don't really have the option to add many shortcuts to it, users can add only 8 rows to the home screen. Access the app drawer by tapping on the icon on the right corner of the screen.
Long press on an app shortcut and drag it to the home screen to add another tile. You can edit the icon by dragging from the right corner and thus readjusting its size. The home screen also comes with a search bar that lets you browse the internet and find all sorts of interesting content and apps installed on the device.
Adjust the app drawer to meet your preferences
The launcher works just fine on tablets as well, as it was optimized to fit the screen in landscape mode. It comes with many types of icons for the app drawer and may be set to sort apps by name, number of uses or recent installs.
You can also hide applications from the drawer so unwanted users wouldn't access them. There's also a section with shortcuts and widgets that you can add to the home screen. You can categorize apps in the app drawer.
SquareHome also comes with many themes that you can choose from, some of them are free but they need to be downloaded directly from the Play Store, as the app doesn't have a separate section for them. The app uses gestures and you can assign voice commands to various functions.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The interface is really nice and comes with plenty of themes that you can add to the home screen, but they need to be downloaded from the store. |
Function8
It has some stability issues and the settings menu needs some more work as it glitches at times. |
Security8
It needs many permissions from your phone, considering that it's a launcher but they're all connected to its features. |
Battery8
Consumption is lower than that for other launchers that we've tested for far, so no worries here. |
Price8
The app doesn't have ads, but some basic features can only be unlocked with an upgrade for 3.63$. |
Compatibility8
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A nice launcher but it needs some more work.
