Shuttle Music Player 1.5.9
It sports a clean and fresh interface, with many tools at hand and plenty of features and visual effects. Shuttle has all the basic features that you would expect music players to have, but it's missing unique tools that would make it stand out from the crowd.
Fresh and clean interface with plenty of features at hand
The app launches directly with the library of tracks saved on your device and it lets you browse through artists, genres, albums and songs. You can also view the most recent songs that you've listened to and use the search bar to find songs fast.
It doesn't come with a tutorial or instructions to show new users how to navigate inside the app and access all its features. Still, the UI is quite intuitive and sleek with all tools at hand so it shouldn't become confusing at all.
Listen to all your favorite songs
The app lets you create playlists and add your favorite songs to listen to. You can navigate inside the app while tracks play in the bar on the bottom of the screen and the app also has controls in the status bar and the lock screen.
You can also favorite songs or share them with friends on social networks. The app comes with a sleep timer and 5-band equalizer for your playlist. It also lets you adjust bass boost strength and it comes with a whole list of presets and the option to create a custom one.
Adjust settings
Shuttle Music Player comes with several themes to choose from and the option of selecting another color for the interface. It can also be set to download missing artist and album images automatically and only via Wi-Fi.
You can also have the app automatically pause playback when headsets are disconnected or scrobble from Last.fm. The app also lets you white/blacklist songs as to exclude them from playing on your phone.
Many more features are available if you upgrade to the premium version for 1.59$. You'll get ChromeCasting to your TV, more themes and the option to add lyrics to songs.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is really nice, fresh and clean but the free version has few available themes and customization options. |
Function8
It comes with all the basic features for playing music, but it could use some more themes. |
Security8
It shouldn't pose any privacy issues considering that the app needs few permissions from your phone. |
Battery8
Consumption is quite normal for a music player, it won't drain your battery more than usual. |
Price9
It doesn't have ads or nagging messages to buy the pro version which costs 1.59$ and unlocks many more features. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
It's a really nice music player but it could use some more features to make it stand out from the crowd.
