Sleek interface with a nice design and well structured layout
The app doesn't come with a tutorial, but has onscreen instructions and tips for navigating inside the app and using all its features. Public Radio & Podcast has a side menu filled with all sections of the app, including settings that you can make to the interface.
It comes with two themes and the option of enabling tabs and instant searches. You can also adjust widget background transparency if you like. There are also many other settings that you can make to various sections of the app, including to set up notifications.
Browse through all sort of radio stations
The nice thing about this app is that it instantly lets you browse through all sort of genres and radios, including ABC Radio Australia, BBC, CBC, Classical and Jazz stations.
Moreover, you can browse through news and talk stations and check out programs from NPR. Users may also bookmark stations that they like the most and check them out in a separate section inside the app.
The tabs system lets you access stations easily, check out downloads of podcasts or create a playlist. It comes with a car mode, so you don't need to worry about driving and using the app at the same time. You can keep a video playing in background when video player is minimized.
Listen to a wide variety of podcasts
You also have the option of checking out podcasts, they're grouped into various categories like business, economy, food, music, etc. You can bookmark or favorite them, share with friends on social networks or add to your playlist.
There's also the option of downloading them for offline listening. Several filters help you sort all radio tracks and podcasts on the screen while the search bar finds programs you might be interested in if you type in some keywords. Moreover, you can import/export bookmarks manually by navigating inside your phone and finding the designated files.
