Palabre 1.2.2
Palabre is a really nice application that provides you with daily/hourly news from RSS feeds and Feedly. It has a really nice design and plenty of features and topics to choose from. It's definitely worth a try.
Sleek design with much to offer
The app launches directly with the registration page, you can use your Feedly account to sign in or skip registration and simply continue with the setup. You'll then need to pick a topic from the long list available inside the app. You can pick from news on technology, food, science, comics, sports and more.
Simply tap on the topics that interest you the most, but you will then have to pick a provider for the news. You can add multiple providers to one topic, but you must only pick from the ones suggested inside the app. Once you're done with that, you can start reading articles and enjoying the app to the fullest.
Adjust settings
Palabre comes with some settings that you can adjust and the side menu gives you access to all sort of features inside the app. You can adjust the refresh interval and have the app only display the latest news when you're connected to a WiFi. Users may also have it load images only when connected to a WiFi.
It also comes with a darker theme for when you're reading and the lights are dim. In addition, you can have it open articles in the browser or display a notification with popular articles on the network. It comes with plenty of widgets to choose from.
Read all sort of articles
The side menu shows you how many new articles appeared in each of the topics that you follow. You can browse through stories by topics, they're arranged neatly at the top of the screen in the form of tabs, swipe the screen left or right to access them.
The app also comes with a whole section containing all the latest stories from all categories, as well as a section with the most popular articles. Articles that you've already read as marked so you wouldn't access them again by mistake.
You can save articles for reading later or share them online. The app comes with some ads, they aren't that annoying but you can remove them if you pay 2.19$. Offline mode is available, articles are cached and can be accessed even if you don't have internet connection.
