News360
News360 is one of such applications, with a really nice design and selection of content providers and features that would surely get you hooked and eager to try out some of the other tools found inside the app.
Sleek interface with plenty of features at hand
The nice thing about this app is that it comes with a tutorial and plenty of instructions to get you started. There are onscreen tips that show you how to access all features of the app and make the most of its tools.
The app requires new users to sign up with an account, you can use your Facebook, Twitter or Google accounts to do so, as it takes longer to register with an email address. Next, you'll need to pick topics and the app provides you with more alternatives than some of the other news readers that we've tested.
You can manage topics later even after you've completed the setup and you can also connect with a social networking account to get more personalized stories, based on articles you've liked and shared with friends.
Browse through all sorts of articles
The home page consists of cards with the top stories based on categories that you've chosen. You can browse through categories by tapping on the home icon and picking the topic you wish to read about.
The app also comes with a search bar so you can find articles faster. The app also lets you pick from various editions, including the international one, the United Sates, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada or India. There's also the option of enabling notifications for when new content is added to a certain category.
Read articles on various topics
Simply tap on an article to open or slide the screen down. News360 doesn't take long to load pictures but it only opens a part of the article, the rest can be read in the reader. Still, you can rate articles so the app can provide you with personalized content.
The nice thing about this app is that it finds articles on the same subject but from other sources as well. Moreover, you can save articles for offline reading, share them with friends or change reading options, namely font size and theme modes.
