News Republic is one of those apps that comes with a smart interface and plenty of tools that make reading articles quite fun. Its UI is lightweight but filled with all sorts of features for browsing and finding reports on interesting topics.
Sleek interface filled with animation
At a first glance, the app doesn't seem to stand apart from other applications in the store, but it does. It comes with a nice tutorial that shows you all the great things that you can do using the app and gives you useful tips.
The first thing that you'll need to do inside the app is pick your favorite topics, so the app can place articles on the home screen. It also comes with a menu that lets you edit your news digest and enable the night mode for when the lights are dim.
Manage content providers and browse through various articles
You can also pick the edition for the news feed or manage content providers and add newspapers or websites that you like the most. Browsing through articles is made easy, simply tap on one to open and the app uses animation to do so.
Each article can be rated with moods so you can provide your own feedback to the information that you've received. The app also lets you sort articles by various criterias or save them for offline reading.
TagNav and plenty of other features
Aside from providing you with the latest articles, the app also comes with a TagNav feature that lets you browse through content using tags and lots of animation. The app also comes with a search bar for finding articles on certain topics or you can customize the home screen as you wish.
Moreover, you can sync content in the cloud and make it available on multiple devices, but for that you'll have to set up an account. The app comes with some ads and if you wish to remove them, you'll have to subscribe with an account for 3.38$ per month.
