Music Player

People use their phones for all sorts of activities, but especially for listening to music on their devices. But they need a reliable music player to do so and Google Play Store is filled with all sorts of options and players that you can choose from.

Music Player for Android is a nice but simplistic app that offers all the necessary tools for listening to songs, but lacks extra ones that would make it stand out from the plenitude of music players on the market.

Dated UI that lacks features

The interface of the app seems a bit dated and it lacks extra themes for helping users customize their players and add a personal touch to the design of the app.

In fact, the app doesn't come with a menu or any sorts of settings for the UI and app. It also lacks instructions for new users, leaving them figure out the app and its interface on their own.

The interface is dark and gray, leaving the impression that some of its features are locked and cannot be accessed without an upgrade. But the app is completely free of charge and doesn't come with any sorts of ads which is a good thing.

Listen to all sorts of songs

The app doesn't have a menu, only a toolbar with sections of the app that you can access. It instantly scans your device and opens a list of artists, together with albums and individual songs that you can play.

There's also the option of listening to playlists, but it doesn't seem to let you create your own. You have the option of shuffling all songs or only certain ones. You can also repeat all songs or view the playlist by tapping on a single button. You can also skip songs or access the library from any screen.

Use sound effects and home screen widgets

The app also comes with a 5-band equalizer, that includes a number of presets, together with a bass boost and surround sound effect. You can also set songs as ringtones or use the home screen widgets to access playlists fast or control the playlist.

But the home screen widget doesn't come with a previous song button. Overall, the app is nice and stable, but it comes with few features and no themes to choose from. The UI is dated and the app fails to stand out from the crowd as it doesn't have unique features or tools.
