Google Play Store is filled with all sorts of music players, some come with numerous features and plugins, while others are popular because of their simplistic and ease-of-use. MP3 Player app belongs to the second category, because of its rather rudimentary nature.
Simplistic and a bit confusing interface
The app opens directly with the list of all songs available on your device, arranged in the form of a playlist. Scroll down to select songs to play and tap on the 'hamburger' icon to find some sections.
The app doesn't come with instructions of use or any tips to get you started, considering that the interface is a bit confusing. There's no settings menu only some icons that open up only a few sections and features, proving that the music player is quite simplistic and it's missing some essential features.
Listen to all sorts of songs
The app has some shortcomings. It loads are your songs into a playlist and offers the option of creating new playlists, but it doesn't show you how. You'll need to long tap on the right side of file listings to find the option for adding songs to the playlist, setting them as ringtones or sharing them with friends on social networks.
The player comes with all the basic controls for playing songs, the play/pause button, the forward and previous icons. It comes with controls in the status bar and lock screen and a sleep timer. Lyrics can be displayed but only if songs come with such files attached.
Some shortcomings
Because of its simplistic nature, it lacks many features that some users find essential, like additional skins to customize the app and settings for audio control. Still, it plays many types of audio files including MP3 , WAV , AAC, but not video.
The player features some animation, when transitioning from playlist to streaming. Still, it doesn't have additional plugins to install and provide users with more features. Still, it has an equalizer with 9 presets and controls for bass and stereo.
