Instead of wasting money on a compass or flashlight, why not download an app that substitutes some basic tools found in every home. But when it comes to utility apps, people want many features but packed in a small and intuitive app. LINE Tools is just that. It incorporates many tools that will surely come in handy.

Intuitive and stylish UI

The user-interface is far from complicated. LINE Tools app sports a neat layout with all features arranged into two categories. And because it sports many tools, you can favorite your most used ones and find them faster. The app also comes with onscreen instructions for each section, but some weren't fully translated into English, like the Japanese era/age calculator.

An app that has it all

This app truly has every tool you need whether you're at work, shopping or doing chores around the house. Say you're at school and need a ruler or protractor, or maybe you're out and need a compass. This app has them all.

When using the protractor you should turn on the camera so that you may place it perfectly on the object you wish to measure. There's also a tool for checking the horizontal position of various objects and a sound level meter, which comes with descriptions of different sound levels.

Convenient tools

Developers didn't stop there. The app also has a flashlight with a blinking mode, a mirror feature, magnifier for enlarging letters and a QR code reader, but the latter seems to cause the app to crash, or at least this version. This app is really useful even if you're cooking. Use it to calculate amounts, convert units or use the timer and never get your food burned again.

There's also a stopwatch, a size table converter for clothes and a calendar, but it's mainly filled with Japanese dates. Actually, the calendar and Japanese era/age calculator are poorly translated and some of the data is still featured in Japanese making these two features unusable for some users.

Design / UI8 Simplistic but efficient design, the layout is well structured and tools are neatly arranged within the app. The favorites section allows users to set aside tools they use the most.	Function7 An app that packs so many utility tools is always a good idea, however this one has some stability issues and just seems to have been developed in a hurry, as some sections aren't fully translated into English.	Security7 Aside from accounts on your phone, this app accesses all sensitive areas including contacts and calls.
Battery6 Use it for an extended period of time and you'll see your power levels shrunken as the app uses your camera, location services and internet connection extensively.	Price10 No ads, in-app purchases or anything like that. This app is completely free of charge.	Compatibility9 It should work just fine on Android version 2.3.3 or later, including on phones and tablets.
