CBS Sports app is filled with some features and changes that can be made to the UI. The app's theme can be changed to a darker one, scores can be abbreviated or full and you can choose your television provider of you're from the US or Canada.
In addition, you can exclude leagues that appear in the menu and choose to see footage from certain conferences. Because this is a sports app, keeping up with the news is highly important.
Enable all sorts of alerts for breaking news, top stories or notifications. You can enable sound or set your phone to vibrate or you can use your cbssports.com account to sync favorites.
Choose your favorite teams
In order to use the app you must choose your favorite teams from a long list of leagues and championships from all around the world. Obviously the most important leagues are listed first, like the NFL, Golf, Tennis, Champions League or even High School Football.
You can access teams from any page by simply swiping the screen right. The app offers real time basketball scoring & play-by-play. All of the teams you've selected will be featured in the My Teams section, together with scores of the last played games and the latest news.
There's also a schedule of their upcoming games, tweets about the team, all sorts of statistics, a presentation of the players and transactions. You are provided with the option of buying tickets to their games or sharing the app with your friends.
Set your own watchlist and check out the blog filled with news
Have the app set reminders for important events that you don't wish to miss, as it offers custom CBS Sports Breaking News audio and video alerts. You can also tune in and watch live events or check out the blog filled with all sorts of interesting information.
In addition, you can use the app to watch the John Feinstein Show live whenever it airs. Other than that, there's a section that advertises CBS Sports Fantasy and Franchise Baseball, two games created by the same developer. You can also check the listing of all games on TV for your provider and all CBS Sports Network programming.
