Appsi sidebar is a nifty app, probably the most customizable sidebar application we've ever come across, but it has its own shortcomings nonetheless.
Sleek and highly customizable interface
The app comes with plenty of instructions, letting new users know how to navigate inside it and how to access all its features. It also makes good use of animation for when you pull up the drawer and open the app.
You can enable/disable the app at all times by tapping on the icon in the menu or by accessing the toolbar in the notifications area. Users can select add or remove hotspots, arrange or even resize them.
You can also pick the color of the hotspot or adjust transparency. There's also the option of configuring the width of the sidebar hotspot.
Customize the app to your liking
It comes in two themes to choose from, dark or light with the option of choosing a secondary color or selecting a background image from your phone. Users can even adjust the amount of space between the items in the list or change the font size.
Also adjustment of image scaling is available. You can also have the app show controls when music is playing or have it display the artist name, album and song title. Appsi sidebar can also be used to hide notifications, but the feature only works on devices that run Android versions earlier than 4.3.
Access areas of your phone and apps instantly.
The neat thing about sidebar apps is that they let you access all sorts of applications without having to open your device's drawer. But Appsi comes with much more than that, aside from the use of animation the app provides shortcuts to important areas of your phone.
Say you're reading an e-book and want to check the meaning of a word. You don't have to minimize the app, simply open the dictionary using Appsi sidebar. It offers access to your downloads, music, camera, video camera and more if you get additional plugins. You can also add shortcuts to your favorite apps or access settings from the sidebar.
