Although Apex Launcher doesn't come with preinstalled themes and wallpapers, it offers access to a large gallery of free images and themes, to help you customize your phone.
The themes are free of charge and come in HD colors. There are also various settings that can be made to the homescreen and to icons. In addition to that, you can set up to nine homescreens.
Users can choose to make changes to the layout, like change the portrait grid or landscape grid, or change the wallpaper and check out UI options, like tablet mode and transparent notification bar. There are also other changes that can be done to folders or drawers. Users can also set gestures and make shortcuts to their favorite apps or tools.
Homescreen locker
One great feature about this app is its homescreen locker tool, that allows users to lock the desktop and avoid any accidents or unwanted gestures that could launch apps or even pocket dial people from your agenda.
Under the menu section, the app provides quick access to your phone's application manager and system settings, together with the option of managing apps and screens or locking the desktop. Widgets can also be added to the screen, as well as shortcuts an apps.
Apex Launcher comes with many settings and options for folders and icons, however there are no effects for screen transition. Still, the app has many free themes and wallpapers to choose from, together with shortcuts to apps and to widgets. Many more features can be unlocked if you upgrade to the premium version.
