Malwarebytes 1.05.1.1000
Simplistic interface with few options
The UI itself isn't complicated at all, it only features a banner with a scan icon and two icons on the bottom of the screen, shortcuts for sections inside the app. You'll find settings in the top right corner of the screen, next to the share button.
The interface is dull for a security app, they normally sport colorful designs with animation, resulting that lots of though was put in when creating the app. In fact, every aspect of an app can give users an idea of the app's quality. That's why a stylish design is important and can help increase the app's popularity.
Scan your device for malware
The app takes a while to scan your phone or tablet, for any type of malware. It displays the number of scanned items together with the elapsed time. The results page offers some options for malware found on the device. You can add it to a whitelist, skip the app from the next scan or simply ignore the threat.
There's also the option of deleting the app from your device. You can check the history of scans and results it rendered. Some security apps, actually inform users about the type of threat they've found on their device and what it actually represents. Unfortunately, Malwarebytes doesn't give out such information.
App and privacy manager
Many security apps also come with a feature for managing applications installed on the device, so that users can clear their phones from apps they no longer need.
Some even come with a task killer. It seems that Malwarebytes
Users can close apps one at a time but not uninstall them. The privacy manager will scan your device and tell you which apps track your location, read personal info or access secure settings. There's plenty of more information it provides, but again you can't uninstall them from inside the application.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface could clearly use some stylizing and animation, to make it stand out from the crowd of security apps. |
Function7
It could use some more features, other than malware scanner, app and privacy manager. |
Security8
It's difficult to say if such apps do a good job as they need extensive use, but it seems to perform well and fully scan your device for malware. |
Battery7
Consumption isn't high, but the app will need to use more resources when performing scans on your device. |
Price10
Completely free of charge, no ads or in-app purchases whatsoever. |
Compatibility8
It should work just fine on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
A neat app for finding malware on your device, but we've seen better.
