Vimeo 2.2.0.1
In order to facilitate the access for all mobile users, a dedicated client application was made available for Windows Phone users and it is quite useful for adding and managing the video content.
Well-thought design and layout for the front-end
The interface has a nice look to it, not too flashy but also not too dull, as the main focus seems to be on practicality and ease of use. The smart organization of the content in several sections and categories will allow you to access the desired areas in a jiffy.
The navigation is smooth throughout the app, no matter the menu or list of videos you are browsing, while the main functions of Vimeo are close at hand, in the menu placed in the lower side of the screen.
Capture videos and share them with the whlole world
The video recoding features and the uploading abilities are a must have for this application and they are quite well represented. Before capturing a fresh clip you have the possibility to select the camera that will be used (front or back) and also choose the resolution.
The upload manager offers an overview of the transfers that are underway or waiting to be completed. Nonetheless, it may sometimes display an already uploaded video as "waiting" and you will have to restart the app to clear this entry from the list.
The "collections" section from Vimeo can only be viewed from inside the app, as all the modifications have to be made online, by visiting the website and logging into your account. There is, however, a module called "my videos" that enables you to manage the movies made with this app.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
Thanks to a well-thought layout and a neat organization of the content, this utility is indeed a breeze to use. The interface is friendly, even though not as visually pleasing as some would want it to be. |
Function8
The video capture and upload features are pretty well implemented and the performance of both is rock solid. It would be great of users could get full control over their collections and if the app would support transferring other videos stored onto the handset than those captured with Vimeo. |
Security8
This application will have to access several system areas on your phone, like the contacts, owner and phone identities, even if they seem to have nothing to do with the actual functioning of the app. |
Battery8
Even if video recording and uploading the files are activities that need quite a bit of power in order to be carried out fluently, this utility manages to keep the battery usage well within normal limits. |
Price10
Users who are looking for a client app that will link them to their Vimeo account and their videos will most definitely need to try this one, as it is completely free and integrates seamlessly with the online service. |
Compatibility9
Well suited for most Windows Phone devices, as it supports any handset that is powered by version 7.5 and above of the operating system, Vimeo only needs a standard screen resolution and access to the camera, microphone and multimedia libraries. |
A must try if you fancy Vimeo on the go
