QuickSetting 1.8.0.0

Reach some of the most often visited areas of the system with one tap thanks to a neat app
Phone customization is a very common activity since most users want to have the looks of their mobile devices and the layout of the most accessed apps and settings as nice to look at and as comfortable to use as possible.

For those Windows Phone users who find it easier to have onto their Start screen certain shortcuts to various areas of the system to activate or disable certain functions with fewer taps, QuickSetting is an application that can help.

Simple and efficient GUI

This utility is all about practicality and for this reason it offers a clean layout, well organized and with every feature easily accessible from the two areas it has.

The system tiles that appear inside the home screen are neatly designed, with clear graphics and text labels that become visible after a few seconds, as these shortcuts are animated.

Unfortunately, the longer titles are not visible due to the large font in which they are written and at most 8 characters can be viewed onto each tile.

Tap to access the system areas and hold to pin tiles

The utility enables you to easily add the system settings and app tiles to the Start screen by simply pressing for a couple of seconds any of the items listed inside the main screen to reveal the necessary command.

With one tap on each shortcut you can activate the airplane mode as well as go directly to the Bluetooth, WiFi or cellular system areas and carry out any configurations you need. This way you will avoid going through the main "Settings" section of the system.

System details and extra options

QuickSetting packs some neat options inside and there are some functions you will surely find quite handy as soon as you try them out.

The first one is the "Close the Music" button, that is pretty self-explanatory and provides a control that is not integrated by default with the OS.

Another module of the app offers you some basic details regarding the device name, firmware, device memory and some storage space info. Unfortunately, none of this data can be copied or shared.

By activating the background tasks from the "Settings" menu of the application you will allow it to collect network data every 30 minutes and have it refreshed automatically.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7

This utility comes with a tidy but a bit dull appearance, featuring some plain graphics inside a well-organized layout.

Function6

The shortcuts made available by QuickSetting are not too many and the device info it provides is pretty scarce.

Security7

There are many system areas in which the utility looks and for a few of them it has no good reason to do so.

Battery7

While the application is running the battery usage is above moderate at times, but it doesn't need too much power to function well.

Price10

Every feature included inside this app is made available at no cost and there are no annoyances in sight.

Compatibility10

QuickSetting is made to work on most Windows Phone powered handsets in existence, as it only needs version 7.5 of the OS.
