Quick Controls 2.4.0.0
Since many find it easier to to activate or disable certain system functions by using the shortcuts they add to the Start screen of their Windows Phone, a tool like Quick Controls could be the right choice.
Smooth graphics and easy to use GUI
The application greets you with a nice interface that features some carefully designed graphics that are consistent from end to end. The design is fairly common and the focus is on functionality, so as to make the tiles quickly accessible from their corresponding areas.
The system shortcuts you have at your fingertips have a neat design, with clear and crisp graphics, while the navigation inside the various areas of the app is fluent at all times. The upper half of the screen is reserved for the built-in audio player.
Hold to pin and tap to access system areas
Quick Controls enables you to easily add the system settings and app tiles to the Start screen by simply pressing for a couple of seconds any of the items listed inside the dedicated section of the app.
The utility is quite well equipped to provide quick access to system features and areas, covering a wide range of tools. You should note that when they are pinned to the Start screen, the shortcuts provided by this application support only two tile sizes, namely small and medium.
Convenient audio playback controls
One tap away are the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular and SIM configurations, as well as the location services, airplane mode, lock screen and a most useful flashlight button. The basic battery information is also shown inside a corresponding tile.
The utility comes with its own audio player solution that is integrated inside the main screen, so you can start listening to the music tracks stored onto your phone with a single tap. There is a large "Play/Pause" button right the middle of the player, flanked by the "Previous" and "Next" functions.
The song title is shown on top of the player controls and there is also a specialized button for stopping the music with one tap. Unfortunately, the volume slider and also the volume tile that can be pinned to the Start screen do not work, so the adjustments will have to be done the old-fashioned way.
