Convenient and efficient layout, made for practical use
The appearance of this app is quite plain, relying in a screen populated with just under a dozen large tiles, each tagged with icons that illustrate the purpose served by each of them.
The color scheme and the decent graphics are nothing out of the ordinary, but the layout is definitely well organized and easy to use.
Navigating through the various screens of the application is very fluent and without any delays or other hindrances. Nonetheless, a visible letdown is the presence of the ad banners that seem to be glued to the bottom of the screen and follow you everywhere.
Simple multiple conversions at a glance
This application covers only a very limited set of transformations, more precisely it is only able to make time, weight, speed, length, volume, data, power and temperature conversions.
Convert It has, nonetheless, the advantage of making the conversion of the input value for all the listed units in one go, so you can use all the measurement units in a category at once, thus saving a lot of time that would be otherwise spent with individual transformations.
The numeric keypad that appears when you tap a field to enter the necessary numbers allows you to use negative values as well, which can be particularly useful for the temperature conversions this utility is able to carry out.
However, the "-" sign is not shown explicitly, so you have to press and hold for a few seconds the dot symbol in order to reveal the available choices among which the minus sign is included.
For some conversions, there are some flaws that may hinder the use of Convert It. To be more precise, when typing in the value for the transformation the application will not display the results unless you change the input field, reopen the respective module or type in more digits than you intend to.
