This app is equipped with several themes you can choose from, each beautifully crafted and featuring some impressive graphics. The visibility is excellent for any of the selected skins, some of which have a nice antique feel to them.
The response for every detected movement is instant and accurate, so you can enjoy a nice experience, without any wobbling from the compass needle or the dial.
The numeric values for the degrees and the current bearing are shown in the upper part of the screen in large fonts, so the legibility remains remarkable for this data as well.
Classic compass functionality meets modern map navigation
The utility can function very well as a good old compass you would use when going hiking, but it also is well prepared for other scenarios. More precisely, Compass features a map overlay mode that will enable you to view your current position in real time as you travel the busy streets of a large city or the quiet roads of the country side.
There are two types of view you can opt for when the map is shown, so you can view the street map only or activate the aerial view for a more complete perspective.
The map is not fixed so you can use it to move around freely and in case you want to quickly return to your current position, tap the GPS sign shown in the menu displayed in the lower side of the main screen.
