Especially tailored for Windows Phone users, this app reunites a set of calculators that can be used for various purposes. Able to carry out all sorts of calculations, from basic ones to unit conversions, this utility can do a lot of good, thanks to its ease of use.
Straightforward GUI designed for ease of use
The simple and friendly interface of the application provides a clean layout, without visual enhancements, but very practical. The digits and operation buttons are clearly visible and each key has a generous space allocated, so as to avoid pressing the wrong number or function.
Switching from one tool to another is done by swiping the screen either to the left or to the right and then selecting the desired module from the main list. Unfortunately, there is a small delay when loading the information and even more bothersome is the presence of some animated advertisement banners displayed on top of every screen, as their continuous motions can steal the focus for the task at hand.
Perform various calculations and unit conversions on the fly
Each of the calculators included in this suite has everything it needs to allow you to make the needed computations, taking into consideration functions, constants and many other parameters.
There is even a dedicated programmer's calculator, which can prove quite valuable for making calculations with decimal, hexadecimal, octal and binary values. Calculator2 also comes with a currency conversion module and a measurement unit converter, both containing a plethora of values to use in the computations.
A neat feature of this app is the ability to pin to the Start screen tiles for any of the calculators it comes with. In the case of currencies, you can configure a live tile with up to 3 exchange rates displayed in the same time.There is a history feature included in the package, so you can review the last 50 computations and re-use them if needed.
