WordBoard Keyboard 1.1.0

See how much time and patience you save by using templates when typing
When you’re chatting with people on your phone, you’ve probably come to realize that you often use some similar phrases. If you usually reply to work emails on the go, then you’re probably even more tired of always having to sign the messages, or to input a certain email address and so on.

Well, WordBoard is a keyboard app that comes to your aid for all these scenarios and more. It allows you to set up various phrases that you often use and get access to them with the help of a simple button tap.

Install a new keyboard

WordBoard installs as a keyboard, which means you’ll have to visit the Settings area, pick “General,” “Keyboard,” “Keyboards,“ and add a new one. After you’ve picked WordBoard, you have to allow it full access. Then, in order to switch to it, you’ll just need to tap the globe button when the keyboard is up.

The app comes with a somewhat functional regular keyboard, with letters, numbers, and signs, but without some other buttons you’ll need. It’s clear that the WordBoard keyboard is the one that they’re focusing on, even as the app’s devs push users towards using the regular Apple keyboard for their regular using habits and switching to theirs only when needed.

Setting up the templates can be done from the app itself. The form you need to fill in allows you to insert any phrase you often use, such as your email address, or a shipping address, hashtags and so on. You may also add a label that will appear as the button’s title, but it’s not mandatory.

Unlimited buttons with Pro

The entries can be edited at any time and the list itself can be modified by removing items and adding others. The free version of the up only allows space for six keys, so you have to either limit yourself to that number or pay up for the Pro version to get unlimited keys, as well as the ability to import recently used hashtags from Twitter and Instagram, emails, phone numbers and addresses from the contacts list.

All in all, while this may not be a one-stop-shop boutique when it comes to keyboards, and you still need to swap between the regular Apple keyboard (or any other you have installed) and WordBoard, it’s a nice tool that could save you a lot of trouble.
