SHAREit 2.3.20
SHAREit from Lenovo thankfully is part of the former group. To top things off, the app is not only extremely easy to set up and to use, but it’s also lightning fast.
As mentioned, the app is pretty easy to figure out. You’ll have to pick a name for your phone or use the one that’s already been allocated to it. If you want, you can customize things a little bit by picking a different avatar (probably the coolest-looking vegetables in the world), as well as the profile background picture.
Get down to business
Then, you have to make one simple decision – do you want to send content to another user nearby or to receive? Since the app connects to others via the local Wireless network, you’ll only be able to send files to a computer connected to the same network or another mobile user.
So, if you want to send files to other people, you can pick between your file folders, photos, music and videos, as well as contacts on the phone. It’s possible to select multiple files, which should make things quite a bit easier. The app supports a multitude of file formats so you shouldn’t really worry about it since it’s quite unlikely that you’ll want to send out a file that’s unfamiliar to the app.
Since you’re likely going to be in the same room with the person you’re sending files to, they’ll need to tap the “Receive” button so that they appear on the phone’s “radar.”
Easy as pie
Talking of which, it’s what you’ll also have to do when someone is sending you files. By tapping the “Receive” button you’re basically making your phone visible in the network for the other person. Think of it as back when you had to send files over Bluetooth with your friends and you had to make your phone visible to them.
SHAREit is a pretty nice app and it’s extremely easy to handle, which will make things that much easier for everyone involved. File transfers take place lightning fast, which should make the app even more appealing.
