Road Sign Personality Test 1.0

See what kind of road sign you are by answering a few simple questions
Stuck in a waiting room with nothing to do? Hit the App Store and download the Road Sign Personality Test app. You’re bound to have a laugh, and perhaps even learn a little something about yourself.

Dev knows right from wrong

Goro Sato is not the type of developer who would do anything to trick his users into making in-app purchases. Instead, he fully admits his app is not serious and prefers to rake in a bit of revenue by displaying some annoying ads. “This is sort of a joke application. Please don't take it seriously!” he says. Everyone’s got to make a living.

Fun self-test app

Road Sign Personality Test has a kiddy interface that you may or may not like. Personally I find the cartoon-like graphics very appropriate in this case, but the sound effects could use a little more polish. Same goes for the way it displays on phones newer than 2010. Honestly Mr. Sato, it’s been almost five years since Apple adopted 4-inch displays.

The app asks you all kinds of random questions, such as whether or not you make donations, have a blog, offered your seat to elders, or wash your hands before meals. There’s 10 questions in total per test, but there are more than 10 questions in total in the app, so you can re-take the test using different scenarios. Send it to your friends and they too will have a laugh.

Bottom Line
Design / UI0

The design is infantile, but in this case it seems to work very well.

Function0

Nice fun app for everyone to enjoy. It may or may not be 100% accurate, but that’s not the point.

Security0

No problems in this department. Unless you take it too seriously and jump off a bridge for some reason. It also has Twitter integration.

Battery0

Easy on the battery, doesn’t drain too much power during usage.

Price0

It’s free but it has ads and a link to the developer’s other apps.

Compatibility0

Requires only iOS 5.0 and has a fully-compatible iPad version.

Editor's Review
