Crop on the Fly 0.572

Crop videos to landscape mode in a few easy steps with this simple app
Whenever you shoot a video, even the phone will tell you to tilt it, so you can record it in landscape mode. Aside from the fact that you don’t really see much of the scene due to the terrible cut, those who shoot vertical videos are always being slammed on the Internet. If you don’t believe me, just check YouTube.

Crop on the Fly is an app that will help you rectify your shameful videos in a few easy steps. The app itself is an extremely simple one, with a basic interface, which makes it extremely easy to handle by all users.

Pick the video

The app will scour through your Camera Roll and pick out the vertical videos you’ve shot. You can pick any of them from the list, where you’ll see not only the first still, but also the length of the video. Once you’ve decided on one of them, the video will open and you’ll notice a frame over the image.

At the top of the page, there’s a serpentine line, indicating the rising and lowering of the selection frame. If you move the cursor to another location and alter the location of the frame, this will modify the entire selection line and you’ll notice this pretty easily since the line will straighten out. You can go from frame to frame and move the crop to whatever location you want. There’s also the option of just playing the video and doing the same thing with a lot less hassle.

Then, you can preview the result before saving it to the Camera Roll in the perfect orientation so you won’t be ashamed to share the video on the Internet.
As I said, there aren’t that many options to have fun with the video, but there are enough to help you do exactly as the app’s name says – crop on the fly.

Easy as pie

The app is extremely easy to use and you won’t get any headaches when cropping the video to the right frame, as you would with a more complex tool. Instead, Crop on the Fly does exactly what it needs to do to give you a video that focuses on what’s important. That’s because, without realizing it, you’ll be moving the crop frame on the bits that you find most important.

This is certainly a nice app that you should have around, especially if you often forget to turn the camera the right way.
