Mouse Kit 1.3.5
Mouse Kit can solve this little problem for you by providing a way to control everything without even having an actual wireless mouse on hand. Instead, you can simply play around with the app on your iPhone.
Connect your phone to the computer
The way the app works is by installing another tool,
Mobile Buddy, on your computer which will serve as a bridge between the phone and the PC after setting up a server. This will allow the app to be used as more than just a substitute for a mouse, but also as a keyboard and presenter.Once the PC app has been installed, you’ll get an IP address and a port that you’ll have to fill in on your phone app. When everything is set up, you’ll get to see the actual interface, which is pretty clean and easy to figure out. More specifically, you’ll notice that it’s extremely simple to jump between the various features the app offers – such as the presenter, the mouse, the keyboard and the PC controller.
When it comes to the presenter, the app comes with a gyroscope feature, which should serve as some great help when trying to handle things. It’s also possible to just skip through the various pages of the presentation by pressing the “Previous” and “Next” buttons. There’s also quick access to some additional buttons that could be of helps, such as “Home,” “F5,” “Shift+F5,” and “End.”
The Mouse feature works just as you’d expect by turning the app’s interface into a pad, like you’d have on a laptop for instance. You just have to move your finger around the area and the pointer on the screen will move along with it. The two buttons available on the screen will also serve as ways to select more text or to access the right-button menu.
Keyboard substitute
There’s also a keyboard substitute, which means that you can even use your phone to write messages on the big screen, whether to communicate easier with your friends or to make some last minute substitutions to the text you’re presenting, for instance.
The computer control feature helps users lock their PCs, minimize all windows and expose the desktop or get access to some additional miscellaneous features.
This is a nice app and you shouldn’t give up on it, even if it takes a few tries to get things going, since it has some great value.
