Communicating with others is something we all need. Whether we do it in person, by phone or in writing, it’s still something that we all do frequently.

While talking to others is something that phones are primarily meant for, texting has grown into one of our favorite activities. Sometimes, however, writing isn’t going to be enough and you’d like to maybe draw something for your friends.

Draw for your friends

For such occasions, Inkboard may be the best solution out there. The app plays the role of a visual keyboard for iOS 8 users, taking advantage of the feature Apple implemented in the latest iOS version.

First, you’ll have to make sure that you can actually use the keyboard, so hit the Settings area of the phone, go to General, scroll to Keyboard, go to Keyboards and add a new one. Once Inkboard is on the list, make sure to give it full access.

You can then launch the app and create some drawings directly there. The app gives you plenty of tools to work with, varying from crayons, pencils, pens, and various types of markers of a variety of colors. The selection isn’t exactly the widest, but it will have to do.

All the drawings you make can be saved as images and shared by any tool you have on your phone, or shared directly via the available apps.

Use the keyboard directly

Since this is a keyboard, however, you can even go to your favorite apps and switch to Inkboard and draw there directly. You’ll then have to hit the button in the top right area of the drawing area and choose to copy the image, then paste it in the typing area.

This is a pretty nice tool that can come in pretty handy. While your drawing skills won’t exactly be highlighted while using your finger on your phone screen, it’s still a cute way to express yourself. It’s also a tool that’s extremely simple to use and doesn’t require any kind of extra skills.
