Being pregnant is one of the most beautiful things a woman can go through, although that doesn’t mean there aren’t any hardships throughout the whole 40 weeks. In such occasions, having a bit of support is essential, even if that comes from your smartphone and a cool app nestled on it.

Glow Nurture is an app that was designed to give you insight into your pregnancy, using data science capabilities to ease all those worries that women have during this delicate time. Created by the same folks that put together the original Glow app that seeks to help women get pregnant or simply track their periods and everything in between.

A wealth of information

As you set up the app, you’ll have to tell it whether this is your first baby and whether you know when your due date is. Further data regarding your medical history is required, such as how you managed to get pregnant (whether you have any fertility issues), the pre-pregnancy BMI and whether there’s been a miscarriage in the past.

The app’s interface is quite cute. You’ll find data about how far along the pregnancy is, an average length and weight of the baby and as estimate representation of how big the baby is.

Just like in the original Glow app, here’s a daily log where you can add in more information. For instance, you can update your weight, mention how many hours of sleep you’ve had, whether you exercised, drink water, do your kegels and so on. If there’s any physical discomfort, that can be added in too so there’s an accurate picture of your health.

The app is particularly focused on personal health awareness, which is why they’ve improved the system meant for tracking symptoms, feelings and actions in the daily log so users can more easily gain access to it all.

On top of all this, you also get access to a lot of information about your pregnancy, which is quite useful, especially for first-time moms-to-be.

Community support

The Community element is present here too, which means there’s a place women have to talk about topics that interest them. The “Genius” section allows users to see insights about their health status, their health charts, various appointments they have set up and so on.

There’s even a guide where you can check the things your hospital bag should have, varying from documents, clothes, toiletries, other essentials, and so on. There’s even a baby registry list where you can verify whether you’ve bought everything to welcome your baby home, going from nursery items, to traveling items, feeding and diapering elements, clothing and so on.

The app is particularly focused on everything revolving on pregnancies, including the sad moments. While there was always some support offered for women who miscarried, this has been greatly expanded on following some more recent updates.

The app is extremely easy to use and informative, which is essential for all the moms panicking about the slightest pain, sneeze and cough. While the tool will certainly not replace your doctor, it will give you some peace of mind at times.
