Whenever you copy something on the Internet, you usually have a purpose behind it, whether it’s sharing it with friends and family, social networks and so on. The trouble with the copy/paste feature is that once you copy yet another paragraph from somewhere else, the first one is “lost.”

Well, Clips is an iOS app that allows you to keep everything in the clipboard, so that you always have access to those specific lines.

Of course, the app doesn’t necessarily keep all the snippets you’ve ever copied on your iPhone. In fact, in the Settings area you can make sure that it only keeps anywhere between 5 and 100 of your most recent “clips.”

Save, delete, share

Also, any of these paragraphs you’ve saved can be deleted at any time by sliding them to the left side of the screen until the “Delete” red notification appears. All you have to do is tap the new button and the clip is forever gone.

Alternatively, you can make use of it by copying further whether as text, URL, text and URL, title and URL and more. It’s also possible to make a few changes about the way the text appears, such as making all the letters uppercase or lowercase.

Replace your keyboard

One rather cool feature that Clips comes with is its own keyboard replacement. This is a feature that only works for iOS 8 users, but that’s hardly the developers’ fault since the finger should be pointed towards Apple. The way this keyboard works is that anytime you want to stop typing and copy/paste something anywhere there’s a text box you can switch to it and choose from there which clip to share with the world.

In order to make this happen you’ll have to do more than just install the app however, but rather to go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Keyboards -> Add New Keyboard and pick Clips from there. You’ll then have to give this keyboard full access so you can easily make the switch by simply tapping on the globe button on the keyboard while typing.

All in all, Clips is a pretty cool app that will certainly help you keep cute and important things that you find online. Having this app installed on your iDevice will certainly end up altering the way you use the Internet since it will be so much easier to remember things by copying them to the clipboard and having them on hand via Clips.
