Battle.net Mobile Authenticator 1.3.5

Battle.net Mobile Authenticator will help you protect your Battle.net account and your Blizzard games
Nowadays, it’s more important than ever to protect your accounts, be them email addresses, banking-related accounts, payment processors or even your gaming accounts. Basically, as security experts have been saying for ages, if you have the option to enable two-factor authentication, you would be best to do just that.

Every other day you’ll hear bad news about hundreds of accounts getting broken into, if not more. This happens when people use predictable passwords and don’t have extra security features in place to protect their accounts. They end up being sorry about this once all their data is lost or when they’d been robbed blind.

There are plenty of authentication tools out there, but some services have put their own together to make sure they get control over their safety and they can’t be blamed for other companies’ neglect.

Keep your Battle.net account safe

The Battle.net Authenticator is one of those companies that came up with their own system to protect people’s Blizzard accounts and, therefore, their content on world-renowned games such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and Hearthstone.

For years, the company has been selling tokens that, once connected to a player’s account, could generate unique codes to help them log in. The idea behind the app is pretty much the same – providing codes that expire shortly and that can only be used once to log in.

The Battle.net Authenticator is an app with a pretty easy-to-figure out interface. You can set up the app with your account in a few easy steps. You’ll have to log into your Battle.net account, click the “Attach authenticator” button, verify your email address and enter the serial number attached to the app installed on your phone. You’ll also have to provide the authenticator code that changes the longer you take to set up the account.

Get your code

Once everything is settled, you’ll get to view code after code. These change when the timer is up and you can either type them in on your computer or copy them to the clipboard if you’re trying to access your account from the phone, so you can just paste it in the field, rather than go back and forth trying to remember the eight digits.

This is a pretty basic app, but it’s one that will keep your account safe from hackers and ill-willed players that want to steal your WoW gold.
