BBC Good Food 1.9.1

Get cool recipes and full instructions from BBC Good Food
Every so often you’re left stumped about what to cook for dinner or what to make for the next dinner party. On such occasions, it’s probably best if you scour the Internet for a while, although you could also do with a mobile app, which would, actually, be a better fit since they’re a lot easier to handle than big sites.

BBC Good Food is one of those apps that you’ll surely enjoy having around since it features some pretty great recipes. The app is easy to navigate, so that should also add to the list of benefits of using it.

You may scan through a bunch of recipes that have been handpicked. The recipe name is accompanied by a picture so it will capture your attention.

Get all the instructions

As you pick any of these, you’ll find the information divided into three tabs – overview, ingredients and method. In the Overview section, you’ll find the nutrition information, a short description and information about how long it takes to prepare the whole thing, including how long the preparation of the ingredients takes and how long it has to cook for. More ideas are listed underneath so you can pick other recipes you may like.

The Ingredients tab contains everything you need to have to make things happen, including what you’ll be using it for (for the base, filing, decoration and so on, depending on the dish you’re making) and the amount you need. Each ingredient comes with a checkbox so you can tick off anything that you don’t have in your pantry or fridge. These can be added to the shopping list with the tap of a button, so you won’t have much trouble remembering what you need to buy. The Method tab tells you what you need to do step by step to get the best results.

Extra tools

The side menu gives you quick access to the list of recipes, favorites, and even random dishes. The shopping list, a timer and a tool to help you convert between imperial and metric are also available via the same menu.

What’s extra cool about the app is the fact that it also includes some cooking tips and a glossary to teach you more about various ingredients and cooking methods.

The BBC Good Food comes with multiple cookbooks available. One of them is free, but the others are available for purchase for €1,99 each, the theme varying from barbecue recipes, sandwiches, cakes, festive recipes and so on.
