Anatomy 4D 2.1

Awesome augmented reality anatomy app for students, teachers, medical professionals
Normally when you download an anatomy app you either expect a boring encyclopedia or something with lots of pictures ripped from textbooks. Even those with 3D models are all too familiar these days.

Breathtaking visual experience

But Anatomy 4D is different. Very different. And it looks stunning! In fact, there are few words that can describe the visual experience. It’s best if you just try it yourself. You’ll be amazed, we promise.

Most of the experience centers around the 3D model, and the renderings are pixel-perfect. Only problem is some users might not understand how to use the app at first. Hint: email yourself the scans in the app, or print them, and then use the app to scan them on your computer screen or on a desk.

Simple anatomy tool for classes or labs

Anatomy 4D lets you scan a chart (which you can email to yourself or print out) and it instantly displays a 3D (augmented) male / female body on top of it. You can walk around it with your iPhone or iPad, zoom in and out, select which organs you want to see or get out of the way, see a full human body without a scratch complete with their reproductive organs (hence the 17+ rating), etc.

The options menus disappear when they’re not in use, so you can see only your subject and analyze it in depth. The app unfortunately comes only with a standard human body chart and a heart chart. No other organs are being offered individually, though it would be nice to be able to download additional charts for other organs (brain, liver, digestive system, etc.).

No security issues here.

Major battery drainer, one of the biggest we’ve encountered so far.
