Allrecipes Video Cookbook 1.1
While reading recipes off the Internet can be great and you can definitely learn a lot and find a ton of great ideas, sometimes it’s easier and nicer to have someone guide you through each step.
Get some video directions
Allrecipes Video Cookbook is exactly that – a great way to check out cool recipes and see how they’re made, taking things one step beyond what you’ve probably become accustomed to – reading a recipe and trying to replicate it.
The app has over 2,600 videos on hand for anything between appetizers and breads, desserts and drinks, main courses, side dishes and soups, to name a few.
Accessing all these categories can be done quite easily via the side menu (which you can visit by tapping on the hamburger button on the top left corner. As you scroll through the collection, you can check out any of the recipes that could fit your desires.
You’ll immediately find out how much time preparing the ingredients takes, how long cooking takes and how much you’ll have to wait afterwards before you actually get to eating, which is quite handy info since for some dishes you have to wait overnight. It’s also easy to read some nutritional information about the dish, including the amount of protein, fat and cholesterol.
Get extra help from other users
If you don’t want to, you don’t have to actually check out the video recipe since the ingredients you need are listed in the same page, as well as the step-by-step directions. There are also dozens of reviews from people who have tried them out and they’ll even sometimes give out some of their own techniques to improve the recipe.
The video recipe only lasts a few minutes so it won’t exactly waste a lot of your time. You’ll have to hit a lot of pause and play to view things when you’re actually doing them, however.
If you want to save recipes you’ll have to set up an account or log into one you already have with Allrecipes.
