1Password 5.2.1
1Password is considered to be one of the best password manager tools out there and it luckily comes with plenty of mobile tools to help you out.
The app enables you to save up various login details, credit cards, identity cards and special notes. They’re all wrapped up in encryption, as the app uses authenticated AES 256-bit encryption for the job, so things should be pretty safe for everyone involved.
Master password or fingerprint access
Since this is iOS we’re talking about, you can unlock the device and the app with the help of your fingerprint, if, of course, your device supports this feature. This means that instead of providing the master password every time you want to log into 1Password you can just use your thumb to gain access to the app.
Every time you set up a login in the app, you’ll be able to use the data to automatically log in to said website without having to remember the password. This means that you can take things a step further and change your password with a rather complicated version that 1Password can help you generate.
In order to do this, you have to choose the length of the password, varying between four and thirty characters, and picking a recipe for it. This means that you can decide whether it includes any digits and symbols, as well as whether or not it should avoid ambiguity, allow repeats, or to be copied to the clipboard.
Sync your data
The app supports cross-device syncing, which you can enable from the Settings area. You may also have the app lock itself upon exit or automatically after a certain number of minutes has passed since you’ve stopped using it.
There’s also a Pro version of the app that gives you access to more categories, such as wireless routers, software licenses and so on. This version also gives users access to some custom folders to better organize their content, as well as multiple vaults and advanced items.
All in all, 1Password is a pretty nifty tool. Sure, there are plenty of other similar apps out there, but few have received the recognition this one has. It’s easy to use, easy to understand, and comes tightly wrapped in 256-bit encryption.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The app’s design is simplistic, but that’s a good thing since you need to focus on the data, rather than figuring out how to complete a task |
Function9
This is a great password manager, mostly thanks to the security levels around it |
Security10
App uses authenticated AES 256-bit encryption to lock up the data |
Battery9
1Password is pretty good about not eating up all your battery |
Price9
The app is free to download and use. The Pro version requires a one-time-only €5,49 purchase |
Compatibility8
1Password needs iOS 8.0 or later to work. However, the fact that it supports finger print authentication explains the tight operating system requirements |
1Password is a great app that you should definitely try out if you want to trust a password manager
