Intuitive interface with lots of features
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial, but it does open with a whole list of main options that you can find inside the app. Right from the beginning, it lets you pick the theme or the icon style. You can choose from two different styles, either classic or kids.
There's also the option to change the interface language and pick from the many available. Next, you'll need to choose the default ZIP character encoding for your region. You'll also be provided with useful tips on how to navigate inside the app and find files.
Create all sort of archives
Zarchiver lets you create archives with all sort of files including documents, audio and video files and more. Tap on the '+' icon to create an archive. You'll need to name it, choose the archive type, either 7z, Zip or TAR.
Compression level can also be adjusted, depending on the size of files and the time that it takes to create it. You can pick from two encryption options that include data and/or filenames.
Archives can be split into volumes, but you'll have to adjust that in the menu. In addition, archives can be password-protected as to lock access to your personal files.
More options
The app lets you arrange files on your phone based on size, name or date so that you would find them faster. It also has some settings that you can change, you can set the app to delete files after compression so you would save space.
The interface is also highly customizable as well as the actions that you can take inside the file manager. Users can make changes to compression features and set default values for ZIP and 7z compression levels.
In addition, you can use the app to decompress various types of archives, edit contents and extract splited archives. It also comes with multithreading support, very useful for multicore processors.
