Smart App Manager 3.3.3
Smart App Manager is a nifty app that lets you manage all applications and shows you which ones take up too many resources. It's definitely worth a try, considering that it comes with many other features aside from app management.
Sleek UI with plenty of features at hand
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, but you wouldn't really need them since it sports a really neat UI with plenty of features at hand.
You can access them in the side menu on the left, but the app doesn't use material design and it could use the option to increase font size. It doesn't need online registration, but it will keep a track of all applications that you use throughout your day. It displays a whole list of apps installed on your device, scroll through it to get to the item that you need to check out.
Manage your apps easily
You can sort applications by various criteria, like name, installed date and size. Long press on one app to get more options, like backup to SD card, update check, evaluation, comment, remove cache or force stop. Tap on apps to check them for uninstall.
On a banner at the bottom of the screen, the app displays the available internal and external storage, together with the amount of resources that apps consume. IT shows the size of apps and the date of installation.
The app adviser lets you know which are your most frequently used apps, separated by time and day of the week. It also shows the use of the number of times each app, available time, data, cache size, and more. You can also add certain apps to the exception list and exclude them from monitoring.
More features
The app displays a list of recently unused applications on your phone, so you would know which ones you'd like to uninstall, although you can't remove system apps. Smart App Manager also lets you backup and restore applications but only the apk and not the data.
Process monitoring shows you a whole overview of processes on your phone and lets you determine which apps take up too many resources. You can also check out the amount of available memory and CPU usage.
It comes with a section that displays system info, including battery info and usage, memory, system storage, internal and external storage, system cache, network status and processor info.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface is pretty simplistic, but it has shortcuts to all sections in the side menu on the left. |
Function8
It has all sort of sections and features, including the option to backup apps but only the apk and not the data. |
Security8
It only needs access to a few sections on the phone, so it shouldn't really pose a privacy issue. |
Battery6
Consumption is moderate, especially since it constantly keeps track of which app you're using and for how long. |
Price8
It comes with banner ads, but there's no option of removing them. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making the app available to many users. |
It's a nice app manager but it does have some shortcomings.
