Sensors 1.0.2

Check sensors on your phone using this neat application
Google Play Store is truly filled with all sort of applications that you can install and use on your phone. It's even filled with apps that help enhance your phone's functions and check if every component on your phone works perfectly.

One of such applications is Sensors. It's filled with all sort of tools that help users manage their device and check its performance. You can test all sort of sensors on your device and get useful statistics.

Sleek UI with lots of features at hand

The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient considering that new users could always benefit from some guidance, especially when checking out a new app.

Still, the UI is quite intuitive with a side menu on the left and some tools. From the moment you launch the app, it starts scanning components on your phone.

It would have been nice if it displayed some details and information on the components and sensors. The UI seems a bit simplistic, the app would have needed animation to make it more appealing to users.

Check sensors on your phone

The side menu gives you access to all sections inside the app. You can check the accelerometer, geomagnetic field, gravity, gyroscope, light, linear accelerometer, pressure, proximity and rotation meter.

Each of the section has an information icon that displays details on the name of the sensor, vendor, version, power, maximum range and resolution. Other than that, the app comes with an overflow icon on the top right corner of the screen, you'll find there details on the developer and the version number.

More tools

The app records results of tests and it displays a history together with the date and time. It also records the results of test and lets you clear the history. It lets you record how many results you would like, making the app really useful for when you need to monitor any of your sensors.

Another nice thing about this app is that it doesn't come with any sort of ads, keeping the interface clean and fluent. It also lacks in-app purchases, which is quite nice.

It could use some more features, like information on sensors and components on your phone. It would need some explanations on how these sensors work and why it's important for them to perform optimally.
