Reduce Photo Size
But many of us like to keep certain pictures on our phones for a longer time, like those of our family, pet or our latest vacation. Fortunately, there's an application that helps reduce the size of pictures without affecting the image quality too much. Reduce Photo Size app is easy-to-use and quite useful.
Dated UI that could use an upgrade
Applications become more popular on Google Play Store due to their useful tools and features, but also neat interfaces that make it easy to navigate through various sections of the app.
However, Reduce Photo Size could really use an upgrade, since the app doesn't come with a tutorial, just some tips on the home screen. It also lacks material design, but the layout is intuitive although it seems a bit dated. Moreover, the app doesn't have a settings menu which means that you can't make any changes to its interface and functions.
Reduce the size of your pictures
All you need to do is simply browse the gallery and pick the picture you'd like to edit. It displays the size of your original image, together with its resolution. You can't pitch the screen in order to zoom in the image, but there are some tools on the bottom of the screen for doing just that.
The app lets you share images even if you didn't edit them yet. In addition, you can rotate pictures and there are more tools under the overflow icon on the top of the screen. You can also pick the image compression value from the settings menu.
More features
The app lets you pick from lots of image sizes and gives you the option to pick your custom one. You can also crop the image to whichever size you wish including to wallpaper sizes.
When you're done editing, the app saves the image in your gallery so you can access it easily. There's also the option to take pictures and reduce them inside the app.
However, it has some shortcomings. It would have been nice if it had batch selection and you could reduce sizes of multiple images at once. The app could also use a preserve aspect ratio icon, so that the image quality wouldn't be affected.

It needs access to a few areas of your phone, but it shouldn't really pose any privacy issues. |
Battery5
Consumption is quite high for such an app so you should keep an eye on resources when using it. |
Price8
It comes with banner ads but it doesn't have any ways in which you could remove them. |
Compatibility7
The developer didn't mention Android versions compatible with this app. |
It does the job but it seems a bit unfinished and it could use some more features.
