Recording Studio Lite 1.5.0
Recording Studio Lite aims at delivering users with an app for recording and mixing tracks, but it fails miserably. It's filled with bugs and glitches, crashes constantly and can't even get one thing done. Aside from that, you'll struggle with a completely unintuitive interface.
Dated design that's difficult to figure out
When you launch the app, it simply displays the home screen with all studio tools and features. However, it doesn't have instructions or at least a tutorial and because of the large app size, it's best if you download it using your WiFi network.
A manual of instructions is available on the developer's website, you'll definitely need to download and read it because the UI is completely unintuitive. It doesn't even have a save button for songs, when exiting you're asked if you wish to save the track but the app constantly crashes and you might actually lose all the work you've put in.
Record if you can
We tried recording multiple tracks and then playing them from the beginning, but it didn't work. The app's main feature is that of recording tracks, but it doesn't seem to work.
It also takes a lot of time to import audio from your phone's gallery, because it needs to convert mp3 files into wav, resample the track and then import it and there's no guarantee that it will actually work. Even if the app works for you, the interface is extremely counter-intuitive and you'll be wasting a lot of time figuring out how it actually works.
More bugs
There are virtual instruments that you can use, the grand piano is available in the free version but we couldn't make it work. The app showed that it was recording but didn't replay anything. Other instruments are available in the paid version, but there's no guarantee that they actually work.
It has some song settings in case your recording worked. You can adjust volume, time, sound, clone tracks or mix them together. The paid version costs 3.39$ but judging by the rating on Google Play, it might not be an improvement to the free version, but only have some more tools.
