Fortunately, there are some applications that let you backup data in the cloud so you can access it from any of your devices. Mobile Backup & Restore is one of those applications. It has all sort of interesting tools for backing up and restoring data on your phone.
Sleek UI with plenty of features at hand
The app doesn't come with a tutorial, although it could have used some instructions to show new users how to access features inside the app. Still, it guides you through the process of creating an account or registering with an already valid account.
There's the option of registering with Facebook, so you wouldn't need to fill in any information. Next, the app requires Google Drive as storage for your backed up images, audio, video and app files. The reason is because some of the files are really large and Avast doesn't offer users that much space.
Backup your data
Mobile Backup & Restore scans your device and displays a list of data categories and the size of files, so you would know which to backup. It seems that large folders like audio and video files or apps can only be backed up if you're subscribed to a premium account. U
sers must make some settings before the first files are backed up, you must allow the app to only back up when connected to a WiFi network. This feature is really useful since it means that it wouldn't consume mobile data. You can also adjust the maximum file size for backup and pick up to 2 MB.
More features and tools
You can schedule a backup easily, simply pick the days of the week and time when you would like the app to save files to your account. There's also some other restrictions that you can apply to backup, like one for when battery levels are low.
The app comes with PIN protection, so that no one would access data. It lets you backup contacts, your call log, messages, images, audio files, videos or apps. However, it seems that the app may have problems restoring some data on certain devices.
It simply displays an error message and you can no longer retrieve your files. It's not completely free of charge, it unlocks some nice tools if you upgrade to the premium version for up to 11.69$ per year.
