KISS Launcher 2.9.3
We've come across many launchers, they're mainly focused on providing users with lots of complex ways in which they may customize the home screen. KISS Launcher is an interesting app that helps simplify your home screen and provide you with quick access to all of your apps, contacts, messages and whatever you need.
Sleek and intuitive interface with plenty of tools
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, although it would have been nice if it had a presentation of its features so new users could get an overview of the tools that it offers. It doesn't come with material design, the interface simply consists of some settings that you can adjust.
Unfortunately, the app doesn't import settings that you've made in your default launcher, so you won't be able to access previous folders or settings. Therefore, you shouldn't expect the app to provide you with that many tools for customizing your phone.
Get instant access to your applications
The whole concept behind this app is to provide users with a search bar at the bottom of the screen. Simply input the name of your favorite applications, contacts, messages, songs, whatever you have saved on your device.
The app only has one screen, so you no longer need to swipe screens in order to access apps. Moreover, it doesn't have an app manager, the only way in which you can access your applications is by typing in their names. Of course, it's very inconvenient if you're searching for a certain application and you've forgot its name.
More features and tools
All the apps that you've accessed are displayed on the home screen, the most recent one at the bottom. It's a also a great way to tell which applications you use the most. Users can change the wallpaper on their phones, but it doesn't come with any extra ones for you to choose from.
The settings menu has the option of resetting your history and clearing the home screen. There's the option of displaying the keyboard at startup or restricting the areas in which the app is allowed to search.
You can have it search in contacts, device settings, system toggles, shortcuts or phone numbers. It also has an icon for accessing device settings faster.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The interface is quite nice, it simply has a search bar for finding apps, contacts and whatever content you've saved on your device. |
Function9
It works just fine, it's one of the most simplistic launchers that we've ever come across but it does have all the settings that you might need. |
Security7
It needs access to some areas of your phone, but you shouldn't worry about privacy issues. |
Battery7
Consumption is moderate, but you should still keep an eye on resources when using this app, as it may contribute to battery drainage. |
Price10
It doesn't come with any ads or in-app purchases, which is quite nice. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making the app available to many users. |
It's a really good idea for an app, although it could use some more tools.
