It gives you a live feed from the International Space Station and see when it crosses the country that you're currently living in. It comes with plenty of useful tools for checking all sort of interesting live feed.
Sleek and intuitive UI with plenty of interesting tools
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient since new users would need some guidance when launching a new application on their phones. It has material design and a side menu that allows you to access all sort of sections fast.
It doesn't require online registration, but you will need to have internet connection in order to get the live feed on your phone. It has a settings menu that allows users to make some changes to the app's UI and its features, to make them meet their preferences.
Check the live feed
It opens directly with a live feed on the home screen, a map shows you the location of the space station as well as its trajectory. Use gestures to zoom in on the map or check if it the space station is over a certain city.
There's also the option of checking the feed from the station that's right above Earth and splitting the screen with the map view. You can have the app display the full map on the screen and check the station's trajectory. It comes with the option of displaying up to 5 orbits, you can change the number from the side menu.
More features and tools
The side menu gives you quick access to a help section, it's filled with all sort of instructions on how to use it. If the image is black or blue, it means that the ISS is on the night side of the Earth and sometimes video isn't available because of transmission problems.
The app is compatible with Chromecast, you can send the video that you are watching on your device to your TV. Double tap the screen to change the view and enable full screen.
The settings menu provides users with some options, you can keep the screen on, make video available only when on WiFi connection or have the map always follow ISS. In addition, you can have it show a day/night layer or trajectory layers.
