App Lock 2.0

People store all sort of personal information on their phones and especially inside apps. But privacy is really important, so users should install app lockers to block access to their most private information.

Fortunately, Google Play Store is filled with all sort of lockers that you can use, one of them is App Lock by MOBILITY STUDIO. It's a nice app but it might have trouble working on certain devices and it could use some more features.

Beautiful interface with lots of tools at hand

The app launches with a very comprehensive tutorial, showing new users all the tools that they can access and apply on their phones. The tutorial uses animation and it provides you with tips on how to lock access to your personal information and applications.

The first thing that you need to do after launching the app is to set a password to lock applications. Unfortunately, there's no option of recovering passwords in case you forgot them so make sure you write it down or make it intuitive so you would remember it.

Lock applications on your phone

The app is really intuitive, it opens with a list of all applications installed on your phone, all that you need to do is to tap on them in order to lock them. The side menu gives you access to all sort of sections, like Android or system applications.

The app doesn't open unless you type in the password and users must tap on enter in order to launch it. Unfortunately, it doesn't let you sort apps by any criteria which is quite inconvenient since you need to scroll down through the list of all items.

Some more tools

To make sure that you're protected, the app lets you hide the icon from the home screen and app drawer. In order to access App Lock you'll need to call ##Password** on your dialer and the app will popup.

The app is filled with banner ads. It also has some really annoying popup ads and unfortunately, there's no options of removing. They cause the app to misbehave sometimes, when you try to close them the app closes as well.

It seems that App Lock might not work properly on some devices, so make sure you check it multiple times before trusting that it actually locked access to your app. Another issue is that it doesn't really have any settings, so you won't be able to make any changes to the app's functions.
