Web Filter with App Control is a nifty app that help you with just that, simply install it on your phone and start managing content, making sure whoever borrows and uses the device doesn't access certain websites or applications.
Interface that could use an upgrade
Considering the variety and high number of apps out there, it's only normal that developers use all criterias to make their apps stand out from the crowd. Design is an important one but this app can't compete against the UI of other major internet browsers out there.
It could use an upgrade, since the interface is gray and unappealing, but leaves a lot of space on the screen as it doesn't display ads and just one toolbar on top. There are no instructions, so you'll have to figure this app out on your own.
Browse the internet safely
The app provides you with all the tools you need to browse safely, by blocking websites with questionable content, those unsuitable for children and regular ones if you wish. All you need to do is provide an email address and a password, so that anyone who accesses the app can't adjust settings to turn the filter off.
The default search engine it uses is Google and even search results of said websites aren't displayed, without warning the user that they're blocked. Use tabs to open several pages and the app has separate sections for files that you've downloaded or pages you've bookmarked.
Upgrade for more features
Other than websites, it can also be used to block certain applications on your phone. The website offers remote control of the app and content displayed off the internet, it can be used to tweak settings and create a schedule with blocked websites and apps.
Web Filter comes with a 30 day free trial version, afterwards you'll need to upgrade for an account. You'd have to pay 19.95$ for 1 device linked to the service and up to 59.75$ per month for 5 devices.
