Web browsers are among the indispensable applications on any phone, regardless of the operating system. Without them you can't really surf the web, that's why they come in various versions and with many neat features to try out.

While Web Browser & Explorer is a bit simplistic, it's still a good alternative to stock browsers, although it sports fewer features.

Sleek design with some features at hand

The browser doesn't come with a tutorial or at least some instructions to get new users going and yo show them all the neat things they can do inside the app. Still, it has a menu under the overflow icon on the top corner of the screen.

The whole design resembles that of Google Chrome, but with fewer options and it's lacking the forward icon for pages. It doesn't have any additional themes or the option to customize the app and add some color to the boring gray interface.

The home screen simply opens the search engine, you have the option of changing it and choosing either Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Baidu or Yandex, as your default search engine.

Browse the internet easily

The app gives you all the tools you might need to browse the internet easily and fast. It lets you change the font size and assign a download path of your own. Other than that, you can change the default homepage and pick one of your choice, but there's no option of creating shortcuts on the home screen for easy access to your favorite websites.

Still, you can enable the full screen or grant the browser access to your location services. Moreover, you can manage bookmarks or share links easily with the tap of one button.

Use the safety mode

The app also comes with a safety mode that keeps you safe while browsing the internet. History isn't saved, cookies are disable and location access is disabled to ensure that you are not being tracked.

You can manage multiple pages in the safety mode as well, by using tabs on the top of the screen. But the app doesn't come with a feature for finding certain words in pages or one for printing.

Still, it lets you view and manage the history of visited webpages. One nice feature about this app is that it automatically opens the last page you've visited when you launch it. All in all, it's a nice and clean app but it's lacking some key features that other apps have.
