Ustream 2.7.2
Intuitive interface
Ustream has a very sleek interface with plenty of features at hand, but there are no customization options that you can do to the UI. It has a side menu with sections and a search bar for finding broadcasts faster. There are no instructions for using the app and users must register with an account in order to broadcast content live. Still, users can comment on podcasts and share them on social networks, by connecting their account to Facebook or Twitter.
Watch various broadcasts
The whole concept behind this app resumes on sharing broadcasts and content over the internet, with people from all over the world. The side menu provides you with a selection of various topics to choose from, including entertainment, sports, animals, music, etc.
There even are news and technology podcasts, and you can find live cameras from various locations. The 24/7 section is filled with continuous broadcasts that you can watch. However, some of them take a long time to load or fail to play sound, and you'll need to reload them several times. Still, image and sound quality are good, but depend on your internet connection as well.
Go live and stream content
With the touch of a button, you can go live and broadcast content of your own. You'll need to name your podcast, switch through cameras, enable flash or voice recording. But the app doesn't offer access only to live streaming, you can also watch recorded podcasts on your phone, share them on social platforms or follow channels and events.
The upcoming section is filled with broadcasts that you can access, only the most important suggestions are featured here. All broadcasts that you've streamed are stored in the app, so you can check them out later.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface is functional but it could use some customization features. |
Function8
Some broadcasts take a while to load or sound doesn't stream, but that also depends on your internet connection. |
Security7
It needs a lot of permissions from your phone, including to location services and media files. |
Battery7
Consumption is high even for a video playing app, so keep a charger nearby if you're planning to listen to an extended period of time. |
Price7
It's free but comes with some in-app purchases for unlocking features, users must pay up to 181.2$ for them. |
Compatibility8
The developer didn't mention Android versions compatible with this device. |
A neat app for listening to broadcasts and podcasts, and also for streaming your own content.
