The interface is quite sleek and it lets you crop videos and add sounds or create slideshows with pictures and nice effects. However, some of these filters seem a bit dated but fortunately the app offers a store with lots of alternatives.
Intuitive design with some features
The nice thing about this app is that it comes with many features for you to choose from and they're all presented in a nice tutorial with instructions to help new users navigate in the app.
KineMaster only works in landscape mode, but that only makes it easier for users to edit videos, as they have access to all controls on the screen and don't need to look for long to find them. The interface is a bit dark but it's really easy-to-use although it could use an upgrade.
Add videos and pictures to create clips
The app can be used for editing regular videos or creating slideshows with pictures from your gallery. You can add multiple files to your clips including images and videos at the same time as the app accesses your media gallery to let you do so.
Afterward, you'll need to enter titles to your video and then pick a theme from the 4 preinstalled on your phone. You can also check the store to download more, it's filled with all sorts of themes for different occasions including a photo album for your pictures. Sound can also be extracted from a video and the app applies its own watermark on clips.
Edit your videos
Once you're done with that you can move on to other settings like adding songs to play in the background or adding more pictures if you like. You can also adjust audio for the current project.
Each theme comes with its own set of settings. The photo album theme is perfect for creating slideshows with pictures from your phone and it lets you pick transition effects, as it comes with a whole array of options.
You also have the option of choosing between a picture-in-picture effect or deciding on the presentation. Text can also be applied and users may cut any part of the video out of they wish. A preview is provided for each effect and when you're done with the clip you can share it with friends. In addition, saved videos can be edited at any time. The app comes with a 30-day free trial.
