Intuitive UI that lacks instructions
It’s important for each app to have a tutorial, so that new users could get accustomed to its interface and get an idea of features and tools implemented in the application.
Ultimate custom widget doesn’t have a tutorial only some instructions but for more information, users can check out the help section, but it will take you out of the app. Still, the interface is rather intuitive with a ‘hamburger’ icon on the top right corner of the screen, with settings and other options.
Select widgets and place them on the screen
The app opens with a list of all widgets, more are available on Google Play Store. They’re divided in all sorts of categories, you can choose from clock, time, date and weather widgets.
There are many changes that you can do to them, firstly you can adjust the refresh frequency and choose weather units. You can enable auto location or choose the day with which the calendar should start.
Customize widgets
There’s the option of changing the background of widgets, by selecting an image or choosing from the many colors. You can adjust the dimensions of the widget and have it fill the background on the homescreen. Change the size or shape or objects in the widget, change the color, width or height.
You must save changes to widgets, but you can also save them as an image. There’s also the option of making them available for other app users. The app allows users to download additional skins from Google Play Store.
