Swipe Lock Screen Launcher 1.1
One of such applications is Swipe Lock Screen Launcher by AVG Labs. It's filled with all sort of icons and widgets for your lock screen, together with a stylish swipe launcher but it has trouble functioning properly on certain phones.
Nice layout with plenty of features at hand
The app launches directly with a tutorial, showing new users how to access all sort of features inside and to enable widgets they might need for their lock screen. It's best to disable your system or app lock screen before using this application, so they wouldn't interfere.
The settings menu is quite basic, with only a few icons and options that you can enable and no extra information or tips. Enable the lock screen so that you can view any changes that you've done or check a preview directly from the settings menu.
Customize the app to your liking
Users are given the option to change the device wallpaper and enable vibration for any notifications that they might receive. But the app doesn't come with a gallery of wallpapers to choose from, instead you'll have to search for images in your media gallery or apply one of those that came with the OS.
You can apply absolutely any widget that you like to the lock screen, pick one from the list available on your phone. The app has three screens, filled with widgets and shortcuts. You can add a widget with Facebook posts on your lock screen, so you may comment, like and share your friends' posts without unlocking your phone.
Use the swipe launcher
Have the app update your feed only via WiFi, so you would save precious mobile data. The swipe launcher is quite nice, it lets you unlock your phone easily, access the dialer, search for all sort of things on the internet, read your latest messages or access the camera.
You can also adjust your phone's volume or access the settings menu. But the app doesn't let you customize icons in the launcher, so you can't add shortcuts to certain applications that you may use more often.
In addition, only one widget can be added on the first screen and additional screens can't be created. Moreover, the app doesn't actually come with security options, you can't set a password, PIN or pattern to lock your device.

Bottom Line
Design / UI6
The interface is nice, but it's non-responsive at times and it seems to interfere with HD wallpapers causing the UI to flicker. |
Function7
It does what it promises, but it could use some more customization features. |
Security6
It doesn't have options for locking your phone, which is quite inconvenient since anyone can access information on it. |
Battery6
Consumption seems a bit high so keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price10
It's completely free of charge, no ads or in-app purchases whatsoever. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making the app available for many users. |
It has some features, but not that many tools for customizing your lock screen.
